Steve,

I live and kitesurf around Aberdeen. Probably heading out on Sunday morning to Bridge of Don or Balmedie depending on conditions. Looks like it will be cross shore on a Southerly 18 - 20 mph.
If your keen in joining me then PM me and I will send you my number.

Cheers

It's been a while since I've been out but I'm keen to get involved if you're planning anything.

The winds don't look bad for tomorrow if I can get out of the office quick enough...

Cheers,
Stuart

Apologies for trying to breath some life into a fairly dead thread but hopefully a few relevant people are following it.

I've recently moved to Aberdeen and following doing it at Uni am looking to take the plunge at the end of this month, buy a load of kit and get back into kitesurfing. First off I'd be keen to hear what kind of gear people are using for the East Coast of Scotland and also how much of the year your using it for.

Cheers

All different gear along eadt coast, personal preference tbh... synergy kitesports in fraserburgh are ozone and peter lynn kite dealers and also deal in crazyfly boards.
I was flying ozone but have just changed to f-one.
Guys out all year round you just have to find the right spots! !!

Hi Standex,

Give me a shout when you have some gear together and if your looking for someone to head out with. Also if your on facebook, theres a group called Aberdeen and Shire Kite boarders. Join that and you'll get loads of local info.

Cheers for the responses M14dgt & BigstevieG,

May well take you up on your offer once I get some kit together. I'll look into the facebook group as well.

Cheers

Hi all,

I've recently got into the sport but don't know others that do. My knowledge on the best places to go isn't the best, I moved to Aberdeen a couple of years ago. Anyone got any pointers on the best locations, and if anyone's heading out tomorrow?? Wind looks ok....

Cheers

Jack
