Uist in south Easterly

Hi,
I'm on Uist for a week. There are south easterlies forecast for the next 3 or 4 days. Does anyone know which beaches may work? The east coast looks very rocky without many beaches?
Thanks

Barrow walney or roa on sunday

Hi. Will be in the lake district this weekend. Looks like there should be some sw wind on sunday. Where would be best to kite given sw direction and a high tide of 1530? Not sure sw works at roa?

Thanks!

Re: Tiree or Troon?

Never heard of benbecula. Looks much larger. How does it compare? Similar wind conditions and beaches covering most directions?

Re: Tiree or Troon?

Yep. Have been to tiree before. But due to time constraints and ferry times etc wondering if we are likely to get more wind on tiree. Looks like there are beaches covering most directions on the main land

Tiree or Troon?

Planning a trip to Scotland in mid October and thinking of visiting west coast or maybe Tiree.

Does Tiree have any kind of better wind stats than the mainland?

14m Bandit or "light wind" kite

Hi I'm 85kg and have an 8 and 10m Bandit. Currently have an old 14m torch I use for light winds but it's fairly old now. I'm considering buying a 14m Bandit but wondering if I would be better buying a specific "light wind" kite instead. Any thoughts on using a mixed quiver like that? Part of me thin...

Re: Bandit 13 or 14m

Thanks, if the 14 doesn't really over much more low end I'd prob go for a 13m, hate big slow kites!
Do you have the 14? How do you find it?

Bandit 13 or 14m

I'm looking for a kite to sit above my 8 and 11m bandits. Debating between a 13 and 14. How much slower etc is the 14 than the 13. Wondering if the 13 might be faster and more fun whilst not offering significantly less power than a 14? Or is the 14 still reasonably responsive. Im 85kg...

Hi,

Has anyone spent a week or so in Tiree during November?
How was it in terms of wind, temperature and amount of daylight!

Thanks

Re: Bandit sizing

9 and 12 it is then I think!
Have an old 14m and a 7m floating about. I know what you mean about the 20mph sweet spot and was worried
there would be a slight gap between the 8 and 12.

Bandit sizing

I'm looking too buy 2 bandits, to cover the main wind conditions I kite in. Ie. Approx 13mph upto 25mph. I have kites to cover either side of that. I'm 80kg and prob intermediate in terms of riding. I'm thinking probably an 8 and 12m?
Will this leave a gap and should I be looking at 9 and 12?

Rpm 2011 and 2013

Hi
Just wondering if anyone has tried both and whether there are any significant differences. In light of an intermediate kiter who rides once or twice a month.
Thanks!

Can anyone recommend a few places within a 2 maybe 3 hours if London that work in a NE please? Looks tricky south coast wise!
