Kitesurfing in Sri Lanka

Planing to go to Sri Lanka around beginning of Feb 2016. Planing on going independently and was hoping someone may be able to give tips on conditions at that time, best way of getting to Kalpitiya from Colombo and any recommendations of places to stay. Also share experiences from anyone who has been...

Re: Kitesurfing in Tarifa Spain

I have not used this forum for ages as you can see from this reply. Are you still in Tarifa at the Kite school and if so what beach are you at?

Be really nice to hear from you, sorry for the late reply :)

Kitesurf Holiday Sri Lanka

Hi I am planning to go to Sri Lanka peninsula of Kalpitya and tryy out the Litesurfing there. I have been checking it out on the internet and it looks awsome. I am very much a newbie to the sport and what attracts me most about this location is the lagoon perfect for begginers. So if anyone is think...

Kitesurfing in Tarifa Spain

I am an English guy living in Malaga Spain, I am fairly new to kitesurfing so not very experienced and not keen to go out alone especially with a levante wind blowing which is often the case. I live in Malaga which is not far from Tarifa, and I get down there now and again for a weekend of Kitesurfi...

Good Beginner Location

I am new to Kiteboarding and even newer to Kiting in the UK. I want to go next weekend and was thinking of a good location near to London, I have heard Southend is pretty good for beginners as there is shallow water which makes retrieving your board a lot less hassel though I know I need to practice...

Re: Attaching Ratchet Leash

Thanks for that mate....

You know what I think your right will leave it aside for the moment better to improve the hard way I guess. If I ever am unable to retrieve my board will just have to hope help will be out there, also often see people retreiving others boards for them.

All the best.

Re: Attaching Ratchet Leash

Thanks guys I hear you regarding leashes, most people I meet say ditch em! In shallow water is not so much a problem but when in deeper water I seem to spend a lot of time retrieving my board once I've lost it. I have heard plenty of horror stories regards to leashes so I brought a reel leash this s...

Wind and Tide Conditions

I am pretty much a beginner and am planning a Kite Surf Trip down to Poole Harbour or Southend I have heard both locations are good for beginners because of the shallow waters. Was wondering if anyone could let me know best wind directions and tide times if applicable for each location. RegardsAkideko
