Re: Secret's out- Youri Rides With Us.

"The offer BEST made me was one I could not refuse. As a pro-rider I have to be able to pay my bills" - Other than that its all bullshit. Good for him i say. I hope he makes plenty out of best as he is a kick ass rider. Shame for Slinger though, he was the poster boy for the RPM and i guess that the...

Re: KiteRight

I hope that this thread gets lots of support as it deserves.

I was watching the Paralympics and wondering whether i would be able to kite if i had a life changing accident - now i know i could.

Really well done guys, keep up the good work.

Re: What wetsuits ye using??

nobody just lobs their suit in the garden and waits for 2 consecutive sunny days, before shoving it back in the garage whilst slightly damp ready for next time?

e-bomb. works fine for me.

Re: Directional Board Foot Strap Position?

disagree about binning straps.... it depends on your spot. if its onshore then it makes learning loads easier to have a front strap as you will fall off or end up downwind a lot when strapless. if you are in cross shore and the surf is big then a front strap helps a lot as you fall off going out ove...

Re: European Kiting Destinations with Family in-tow....

tenerife. gets a lot of wind - the guru under reads. only spot is el medano. if you don't stay in el medano then the rest of the island is not very windy which is nice. i went with sprog and wife for a week in march. hot, could have kited every day with 10m or less - DON'T stay in skining las americ...

Re: when do you stop being a begginer?

was only kidding, obviously! when you start landing back rolls, you do FEEL like an intermediate though...... then you crash, realise you can't relaunch because you haven't had lessons, you didn't scope the spot and are caught in a rip and get picked up by RNLI. all solid intermediate/expert behavio...

Re: Do I need a 10m kite?

this is why its tricky - boards.

12 a must if you want to park and pop in 15 knots. 12 not a must if you want to hop on a skimmy in 15 knots.

one common theme to this thread though - a 10m rocks. great for waves, great for freestyle = BUY IT.

Re: Do I need a 10m kite?

whenever this sort of issue come up i am always surprised by some of the comments. there are very few occassions where a 6 is coming out for me and a "big" kite (i.e. 12m or larger if you are heavy), although limited, is essential in this country - so many 15 knot days. in my experience, most kiters...

Re: Board with the most pop / best in chop?

fair play, never ridden one and talking only from my experience. well then lets just say this then, the la luz is NOT the biggest popper on that list. i have one and love it for many reasons including comfort and good pop, but i have ridden stiff beasts (as the actor said to the bishop) that pop mor...

Re: Board with the most pop / best in chop?

as waverider says, mutually exclusive. flex will be comfortable and get through chop without shaking your knees. stiff as hell = pop pop poparoo (e.g. hadlow, north team) depends where you ride as to what you need. i had a jaime pro (an old one) it was small and pretty stiff - popped a boody. i now ...
