Re: Car Keys...

If you leave keys in the car your insurance probably won't cover theft (even if they are locked hidden inside). I checked my policy and it didn't. Guessing that is pretty standard.

Re: Cable parks and insurance

Thanks for your thoughts. I agree that the risk is a lot less since there are no kites involved :? Also a good point that perhaps everyone on the water at the cable has implicitly acccepted some risk so unless you do something really reckless you're probably not be liable. (I'm not a lawyer though) ...

Cable parks and insurance

Bit off topic, but I guess some people here might know about this. If you wakeboard at a cable park is it necessary/a good idea to have any 3rd party liability insurance? I have insurance for kiting and windsurfing and this seems sort of similar. Anyone have such insurance? I'm not seeing a whole lo...

Re: switch kites business model

One thing that doesn't seem clear to me from the Switch website is exactly who (as in what are the company details) and where you are buying from. The only address I could see is in the privacy policy and that address is in New Zealand. When you are buying over the internet from a shop in the UK, th...

Re: Separated from my board...WHY?

To give yourself best chance of getting it back you want to get upwind body dragging asap with all your might if you part company with your board. Sitting with the kite at 12, I think you'll drift downwind too much. YMMV but bodydragging is your best hope, and generally seems to work pretty well. Th...

Re: Nobile 4 line bar help

Hi I also have a 555 that I believe is from 2008 (it was secondhand, but I had been assuming that it's set up more or less as it was originally...). Here are some pics of the bar and the point that the front lines terminate. If you let it go onto the leash, the line from the leash will indeed pull b...

Lost North Gonzales Old Hunstanton 05/05/12

I lost my board (North Gonzales 143) today at Old Hunstanton. Last seen being swept into the wash on the tide. I'm guessing it's gone for good, but would massively appreciate it back if anyone does find it.

By the way, it wasn't me that needed the lifeboat (I think that all ended with no harm done).
