Re: Shinn 2016 Thread- the new spring release boards

Hi, does anyone have any feedback on the new Shinn SRS ratchet foot straps?

I am thinking about upgrading my current Shinn sneakers.

I have small feet size 9 and wondered what they are like for smallish thin feet.

Ignore that, I can see you can buy the model P as a whole:

Re: Shinn 2016 Thread- the new spring release boards

by drilling holes, yes.. the wood core is very durable and I doubt you would see issues for a long time, you could line and seal them. Takes 8 Holes, but you could do with 6.. If you go right through the board you'd need something neat on the deck so you didnt hurt your feet.. Interested in this, I...

Re: Old School Kit

That's funny, I loved the 555 but did not get on with the 666.

I think Shinn was a designer with Nobile??? so am sure something in the Shinn range would probably suit, never tried a supershinn but love the Monk.

Re: Skimboard evolution

'Kite Skims' don't seem to have changed for years, well 'kite' specific skims anyway. I think proper skim boards have changed lots and there are lots of designs out there suitable for kiting... do some searching. In terms of kite skims, I had a nobile like most people have then got a shinnster when ...

Re: BKSA Membership/insurance

Just because you have insurance it does not protect against negligence. Your a sensible chap, if loads of kids started playing in your kiting spot you would stop, if you were a responsible adult you would not let your children play in that area. If you the above applies you have removed some of the ...

Re: Kitesurfing with a Garmin Fenix 3 HR

Haven't used the Garmin but I would recommend the Suunto, does everything and loads of sport modes. The HR is bluetooth and if it looses contact with the watch when your in the drink it stores the HR on the watch then syncs at the end. I use mine swimming all the time and it works perfectly. I am no...

Re: Ride Engine harnesses - any problems?

I have one and I love it, tried virtually all the sizes in the shop with each size spreader, they had a bar and lines hooked up so could get a realistic feel. Think its just one of those things you have to try on... Have to agree with this: ...their main selling point is that they fit everyone - whi...

Cheers for all the info.. :)

Yeah 15knots I will be on the kite.

I have SUP surfed in Gwithian many times, but I had never looked at the forecast down there, just turned up...

Just trying to fill gaps in the wind with something else other than biking... will do some reading thanks.
