Re: Difficult choice on kite purchase

what weight you are ash, if your about 65/70kg I would go for the 12m, you can buy kites at the same price as boards theses days, also if you were up there at 85kg and above you could go up to a 14m,i think the jump from 10m to 15m would be too great. The majority of my kiting has over the past year...

17m fat lady wind range.

I have a 17m blade fat lady, and I'm intrested to know what's the highest wind speed you've used yours in. I have a wee problem with my quiver sizing as I don't think the 12m flexifoil neutron has enough low end speed (I usually get going with the 12m properly 20mph)i weigh 13.5stone. I don't think ...

Re: New rider, does this kit sound about right?

It all depends on wind speed at the end of the day, I've gone out on my 15m when there have been guys out on 9m, if your out on a 12 perfectly powered there will be guys out on 7m's.

Re: New rider, does this kit sound about right?

The board sounds about right but the kite could be a bit bigger, 14m/15m, there's no way on planet earth that you will get going in 10knots with a 12m kite and the said board, your looking at over 20mph and above with your weight. I'm 13.5stone and my 12 I use after 20mph and that's with a 136x40 bo...

Re: Edinburgh area

Yes Martyn, sw best, rocks on the left just off the point, watch out for used johnys when blowing up you kite in the car park and try and avoid going there at high tide as there is alot of sea garbage gathered there at low tide but apart from that a great place to kite.
