Best cheap locations for March 2017

Looking to go away with the other half for 4 or 5 days around March next year and we're looking for recommendations, ideally would only want to fly for a max of 3 hours, not looking for 5 star luxury just a break away from the kids and a few solid days kiting. So what's out there for a little break ...

Re: I'm amazed.....

Some of the things you hear in that shop amaze me... Think about it, they turn up at the beach and then ask what the winds doing, the beach is just over that shingle bank mate... a wind meter costs nothing well 20 quid and by the time it breaks you can start guessing what size kite to put up. I was ...

Re: Kite problems

The DNAs do that, it's not the main strut it's the simple bridle system on them.

Was out on my gfs 6 m in 35/40mph and it kept doing it especially mid jump or when a gust hit, the only way to stop it is to pull the bar in and keep the power on but that goes against common sense lol...

Re: North Vegas 2015

Not that I ride any new north kites but I thought the Vegas was getting made more hardcore and the new dice was going to step up to fill the hole left by the Vegas going all hadlow'fied?

Re: Repairing Kite Bladder

Depending on the damage, you can repair bladders using grease proof paper and an iron on a low heat setting very easily. I've even made a full bladder for a friend from 3 separate bladders when he trashed his kite. If your interested I'll go into more detail but a quick Google search will throw up a...

Re: Which brands are an easy 2nd hand sale?

Liquidforce also seem to go well, my girlfriend posted an ad for her 2012 9m envy on one of the Facebook kite pages and within 10 mins it had sold for 350 kite only...

Re: Knee Deep Mud At Littlestone. (Warning)

I believe there was some signs at the pay and display car park and one in the tavern car park that has now been blocked off. Riding the tide in is fine but the tide can come in so fast that it can feel like it's taken 5mph out of the wind, but when it's going out it can add the same amount and its g...

Re: Knee Deep Mud At Littlestone. (Warning)

The same happens at greatstone, that's why we call it greatmud! Been a few horses that have broken their legs getting stuck and having to be put down there along with a few tourists getting stuck there. I hate the place, it makes your wetsuit smell, you smell, the stains on your kite the fact you ca...

Re: Best vehicle for a kitesurfer

I have the stereotypical T4 van that covers everything and the girlfriend had a Renault scenic that is more than good enough as a family car and can take two weeks worth of camping gear and more importantly it can take 3 kiters and all their gear including 3 kites each board's wetsuits and other bits.

Re: Irresponsible Kitesurf Shops

Give them a 3-4m blade! Will this be flown on the beach to get kiting band there or on a local field where it gets banned? By an inexperienced kiter? As an instructor, most students that have completed a 3 day course are much safer than somebody who's got a few months experience as the knowledge is ...

Re: Irresponsible Kitesurf Shops

Not defending the shop as they was irresponsible selling her a NRG as they are mega boosting kites but they are very predictable and flying my nergs back to back with my girlfriends envys there is really not that much between them! If anything the envy for me is almost as boosty with a little less f...
