Re: Fuertaventura

Nice one. Cheers. How long you out there for? Get there tomorrow. Will I be able to use the bus out to flag with a kite and board or need to hire a car?

Knots in lines

Saw a post on another forum and was quite surprised to see some of the advice regarding knots in flying lines! http://forum.kitecrowd.com/kitesurfing/how-bad-knot-your-lines-195880.html Fairly sure from past posts that it weakens the lines due to friction at the knot and actually melts the line at t...

Re: Have people moved from Hayling to Shoreham/Lancing

I really hate to say this but due to the increased volumes, varying "abilities" and general attitudes toward safety, space and the "rules of the road"......this beach has really started to lose it on the enjoyment front..seriously !!.... I think ill start doing downwinders again. M Or you could alw...

Re: Littlehampton - infos?

Not been for a while but best on a low tide so this weekend
Should be good.Setting up is towards rustington endk just past the beach
huts if memory serves. Some mussel beds become exposed as the tide drops
So be aware, also keep to that east end of the beach and away from bathers.

Re: Setting out kite lines upwind

Always set my lines up to the side!! then I just pick the bar up without even having to walk 10m to get parallel to the wind. All you muppets setting up upwind or downwind are energy wasting fools. I fly foils so self launch, if I get it wrong then I am on my own. D It scares the crap out of me jus...

Re: Grab the HKA lubricant...

Duty man costs about 100 quid a year. It is the members providing the safety now - cbk did not set up duty man and are providing nothing. Why do we need to pay more suddenly? Surely if you are doing your duty man bit, you are covering your portion of the expenses and therefore membership (other tha...
