Re: Foil Boards

No. Less margin for error when adjusting height which is THE hardest thing to control when learning, More expensive with adding masts later The idea that it lets you ride in show water is asking for trouble with collisions, Accept the fact you need deep water to foil... Short masts with standard wid...

Re: Airush 2016 - the new thread and the new kite - UNION

Please do the vid, very sure that lots of post C kite riders or new since bridles became the norm would benefit hugely and actually get the real capability out of their kites as well as making them better kite surfers

Re: Airush 2016 - the new thread and the new kite - UNION

as I say the 9 I used felt great. Dan had said I might want to adjust things but we discussed the amount of wind and figured it should have been ok. its not the end of the world and certainly I can see where Airush would be coming from ensuring it doesn't backstall, Its a balancing act for them, we ...

Re: Airush 2016 - the new thread and the new kite - UNION

a polite request. could someone at the factory please shorten the rear line pig tails on the 7m Union. Whilst I accept that it means the kite will fly perfectly unhooked for being a rad freestyler it is a tad uncomfortable to loose all sense of control and steering when a decent way up in the air. t...

Re: Low profile, minimalistic waist harness suggestions?

The whole concept with Engine and its MAIN selling point was that you had a custom moulded harness. The tie up with Slingshot/Moonshine Manufacturing takes that concept of a UNIQUE fit and fucks it off. YES you get a stiff well fitting harness but it is now not the product that people originally lov...

Re: CORE & BRUNOTTI RDP to Sponsor Weymouth Speed Week with additional prizes

Think the slalom board would be faster, but hydrofoil and a small foil kite is certainly fast enough to cause problems

I was more interested in bettering last years foil speeds than chasing the overall if I was able to go

Re: CORE & BRUNOTTI RDP to Sponsor Weymouth Speed Week with additional prizes

Can't make it this year sadly, away with work and gutted, finally got some faster kites that would have been great for a square gusty course, was even tempted to get off the foilboatd if it really blew through.

Good luck to those that do go this year

Re: Lightwind Kite Have you got one? Going to get one?

I laughed when I saw what I wrote too! Fully converted member of the foil kite club now, the eye opener was the performance of the 18m sonic fr at the edge cup, utterly ridiculous! Since then I got the 15 and have ridden it from genuine 8 kts ( it will go lower) up to enough wind for guys to be on 9...
