Re: Who has a foilboard?

I have a foil. Carbon six. Great product and great build. I have ridden plenty of different boards including race boards but this is something else.

I'm only up to about 3 - 4 hours, but this will blow your mind!

Re: Camping on Tiree

We stayed on Tiree 18months ago and on Wild Diamond and with Willie. Really great, down to earth and basic. You can get all over the island in 30mins. Great place. Well worth the effort for us from the English South Coast. I actually proposed to my other half up there, Gott bay mid kite session. Lov...

Re: North Dice - 4 Line or 5 Line

I believe the 2015 4 line bar now flags to one line.

I have flown the Dice on 4 line only. I presume the 5th won't be much different and there mostly for safety.

Re: High wind kite

I tried a new North Dice 5m yesterday, great fun and really good in high winds, very much like my 5m Neo from 2013. Would suit you with your TT and surfboard depending on exactly how strong the wind is. 4 or 5 line so if your riding Rebels you can just use your existing bar.

Re: Winter is coming - What boots and gloves you using

Atan split toe boot. The thinner one, is it 3mm.

Palmless mitts if it gets cold. I only used them once last winter though. Loads of people do them.

Re: Course racing @ Weymouth

I'm going... ...if it's on? One for British Kitesports to step up and answer please, especially in the light of the short notice cancellation of Christchurch event. I'm sure with the high level of communication, advertising and exposure on social media by our governing body there will be a great att...

Re: Light wind decisions

I moved onto a light wind board about 2 years ago, an old race board. I could use it with my normal 12m kite and it got me out in a lot less wind and really extended the low end of its wind range. My suggestion is to go light wind board and stick with the kites you ride. Cheapest option as you can g...

Re: Deck Pad Suggestions

Please don't get the Ocean and Earth one as posted above...

I've just ripped them off my board in anger as they are far to smooth and slippy, so last weekend I slipped when turning and putting my harness hook through the deck of my board!

Get something with a diamond grip, in my opinion.

Re: Kiteracing

My input on this is that I am disappointed we don't see greater numbers racing the UK. I still see myself as very new to racing, but will be at every event this year and am really hooked... To get more people into the sport it comes down to two factors - competency and commitment. The first, compete...
