Re: Ride Engine harnesses - any problems?

I recently bought a Medium ride engine harness and came to the conclusion that i have the wrong size. It wasn`t made clear to me that the sizing they show is actually at your belly button height which i discovered once looking in detail at their website. I have a 34 inch waist, but my belly is actua...

I`ll use my 5 line 2014 bar i already had with them - can`t wait - hopefully windy this weekend!

Should give me the freestyle stuff i want for portland and be pretty good in the waves on the seafront and north devon when i go :-D

North Dice - 4 Line or 5 Line

Hi, I`m changing my kites from North Rebels at the moment to North Vegas, but i`ve been looking at the North Dice aswell which looks pretty good for what i want to be honest. I see though that you can use a 5 line or 4 line bar with it. Is there much difference when you fly them between the 2 differ...

Re: kite pulling to heavily left after crash and relaunch

Well I finally got round to checking the line lengths and guess what - one was about inch shorter than the other! I've never had lines stretch before do it's a new one on me! I've reset them level by adding an additional knot on the longer one so hopefully it will better next time. The lives are abo...

Re: kite pulling to heavily left after crash and relaunch

yep....agree with above roll out your lines and check for all the same length at full power (bar pulled down)....that eliminates any line issues. highly probable your steering line was caught round the tip or in a strut or even a strut valve making that one line a few feet shorter. cant see that an...

Re: kite pulling to heavily left after crash and relaunch

yep - i guess i won`t know until i fly the kite next time. I`ll probably try my 7 first on the same lines to eliminate the lines and then if the 10 still does it, i`ll have to take a closer look at the kite itself.

cheers, mike

kite pulling to heavily left after crash and relaunch

Hi, I was out yesterday on my 10m north rebel (which has direct connections to the kite so no bridle). Everything was going great and i thought i`d pull a back roll. I popped quite a bit higher than intended and rotated 3 times - at which point i bailed, worried i`d put the kite into a loop! Anyway,...

Shinn Dundee vs Shinn Street vs Cabrinha Calibre

Hi, Looking at changing my twintip, but its always difficult when you can`t demo then easily! I`m about 75kg, and my riding consists of as big a boosts as possible, hooked in and unhooked raileys/downloops and some waveriding occasionally (although its flatwater 90% of the time) Currently riding a s...

Re: Kiting with a surfboard for first time

You know, i`m a complete copout and you`re completely right - i went kiting yesterday afternoon for about 3 hours - i took the surfboard, but i keep my twintip in the van anyway. I had all good intention of using the surfboard and maybe have a go towards the end for jumps, etc with the twintip. Guess...

Re: Kiting with a surfboard for first time

Cheers - i`ll see how it goes - might try and get out on sunday in the flat if there`s a breeze or after work next week if not :-)

Glad the rum went down well! Drop me a text if you`re heading down north devon any time soon - haven`t been for a while and itching to get down there for a surf or kite!
