If you have done it recently, who did you fly with and how was the experience getting your kit over there? It'll be me and the GF, she kites, so t...

Re: September European holiday?

Gokova normally works early Sept. Wind comes from lunchtime. Get a couple of hours most days. It's not as reliable as earlier months, but all the crowds have gone and it's not as hot.

But many say it's good to have the workout, to warm up.
Yeah, you carry on I say, I'd rather use my pump over using a pump designed for midgets

Re: Anyone recommend battery operated air compressor for pumping up kites?

Google "bravo bst 12 hp pump" You can get them with or without internal batteries. They are not cheap. I've been using them for for a few years. I'm on my 2nd one now. The first one died about 4 or 5 yrs after I got it. Replaced it last year. Not something to leave on the beach tho' Downsides - Batt...

Re: Wsm

Weston is a tidal spot. 2.5 - 3hrs either side of high tide. Mud dependent on the times. Sometimes you can get an extra 20 mins. Rarely, but it can & does happen. It's a long walk to the waters edge either end of the usable tide / stage / window. If you stay out longer than those timings, then yes,...

Re: Shinn Monk

Hi I've not used a Cab board. But I've had a couple of Shinns over the years ;) I'm slightly heavier than you by a couple kg. The 135 Monk will be a good size for you. I wouldn't go smaller, unless you want to use bigger kites for it, or only use it in higher winds. Isn't there anyone local there wh...
