Re: Wsm

Try the next beach south - "Burnham-on-sea", most people kite there. Weston is dangerous if you get the tides wrong and end up trapped on the deep mud flats.

Plenty of kiters on "Burnham Beach" and the north end, marked on maps as "Berrow".

Re: Saunton Sands (Cross offshore) wave riding

Saunton on a south easterly is cross off and there is nothing to help you until you reach Ireland ! There will almost certainly be no one else out, it's saying 6 degrees and cross off. You can kite in flat water up the estuary in a SE. Or save it for Saturday & Sunday as it's showing south westerly ...

Re: what happened to kitecrowd ?

There was one on the windsurfing forum not so long ago (racist, seemingly stupid, misogynistic, overly opinionated) and he led the post count to go up massively before the inevitable banning when owing to the forums other long standing fool / expert going into hiding the posts have fallen off a cli...

what happened to kitecrowd ?

I manage to forget my password and got locked out. Tried several times to get in touch with admin but impossible. It's like they are deliberatley running the site into the ground ? and charging £1 to all memebers, strange move.

Re: Cheapest way to holiday in Tenerife in March

Hi Tone - You want to head to " El Medano", pretty much the only decent kite spot on the island. Buy a flight with Monarch to Tenerife south airport and get a taxi (short ride - 20 mins from airport, should be around 20 euro). Find an apartment in El Medano and you can easily walk around town and to...

Re: Lost Kite, Lines & Harness!!

Hey glad to hear he is getting his kite back.. fellow Torch rider as well. Ebay guy seems like mid 40's and keen golfer by his history so should hopefully end well.

Re: Lost Kite, Lines & Harness!!

And here it is !!! Just found it on e.bay. Got to be the same kite, no kiter would sell with the bar like that and seller based in similar area, engine harness etc. Worth winning it on ebay and taking it from there. Good luck getting it back. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Naish-Torch-9-2015-/33204899334...

Re: king of the air - uk riders

Lewis took a very bad crash on a massive kiteloop. He was up around 15m when the kite choked on the way back up. Lewis hit the water so hard he was knocked unconscious in the waves. Reno Romeu was very quick to react and saved his life by getting him back to shore quickly. The waves were really big ...

king of the air - uk riders

Quick update from cape town. Yesterday the afternoon winds picked up to around 30 to 38mph and most riders were out on 9m kites. This is towards the lower end of the wind required for the comp. Seemed the really strong cape town thermal was not going to fully kick in. Lewis - won his round to progre...

Re: Confused RRD kite ages

On ebay there are these obsessions which are said to be 2013 which normally I'd just think its someone adding a year but there is also other obessesion which is described as 2012/13 and seems a really honest listing. What am I missing? ? 8) The 10.5m is mine... I put 2012/13 in the advert. Both obs...
