Re: How to set up your kite
Yes. After attaching the suicide leash I just hold the chicken loop. I ride suicide mode on a North trust bar so in the worst case scenario I let go of the loop and the kite is half powered up without engaging the safety system.

That's how I launch. Way safer.mike dubs wrote:I remember reading that Franz Olry always launched his kites holding the chicken loop, ready to let go if it went wrong!

Re: Moving on from British Kitesports
I said people like you. People who would like to make money charging people to use beaches, that is essentially what you do isn't it?

Re: Moving on from British Kitesports
Good luck Richard in whatever you do. Having been involved with a club I know it's not always as easy as you want it to be so well done for all you managed to achieve. Re: Overtaking the kite on a kiteloop.
Thanks guys. Looks like I'll get to try out the tips on Saturday

I wouldn't give CBK or any other kitespot in the UK a penny of my money personally. It's a slippery slope privatising the beaches.

On some of the landi...

Has anyone been to Mauritius and Reunion in August. Can't find a lot of info on either place. Looks like it's good but what sized kites should I take??

What shop is going to buy stock from Flexi only to get caught with their pants down when Flexi offer 50% off on their website again?
