Re: Mauritius in August

Thanks guys, super helpful. We're off to La Morne for 3 days before hopping over to Reunion (girlfriend's family live there) for 11 days. Hope it's windy because I'm likely to be the only non French/Chinese speaker!

Mauritius in August

Has anyone been to Mauritius in August? I'm heading there in August, whereabouts on the island should I go? It looks like the wind in August comes from the East. Only got 48 hours to book so any help would be much appreciated!

Re: Hadlow goes to North Kiteboarding...

Not sure you'd think it was amazing if you were a shop holding a lot of Flexi stock though, or someone trying to sell some second hand Flexi for that matter.

Re: A kite specific to girls?

Non interchangeable ladies specific kit is going to be hard to shift and affect the resell price. Tell Dimitri to use an adjuster for the bar throw and then every Epic rider can customise their bar according to their arm length and not a random, standard length.

Re: Kit rental in Vietnam

If you're heading to Mui Ne then there are dozens of places on the strip to rent gear but as always it's going to be expensive. You should be able to rent any kite you like as most of the main brands are available there. It's very busy there at the moment, when are you thinking about heading out?

Re: S2AS Rip off boards

I wonder how many people will buy a Xenon after reading this? There seem quite a lot of repaired boards there for sale on eBay. I loved my LaLuz but the whole bottom layer came off within 6 months, seems they are still getting to grips with their production methods.

Re: Comparing a 9m with another 9m

So you are really comparing two completely different models just because they say 9m on the side? So my GF's Abarth Punto is faster than my van and it has a smaller engine size. But my KTM 950 is faster than her car with a smaller engine I win. Yay for me :P Helpful. Keeping the thread going...

C-Skins Wired. Best wetsuit I've ever owned. Still going strong after 5 seasons.

Any idea on the gear he's on? There's no logos on the kite or bar as far as I can see. A small Fone sticker on the board though.

Re: Question... who pumps their kite to the max rating ?

If you've got a newish kite pump it up till it's rock hard, the chances of blowing it out are small and performance and relaunch are improved. I was told to leave the one pump system open the other day. I spent all weekend splashing my kite into the water without any issue.
