Re: Dynabar V8

Hi Ronnie, sorry about the hick ups. As you probably noticed the new website is not fully functioning  We have not fully switched over yet from the old one and have heard from a few today who have tried to order items, we are onto it NOW! (The above link is still not switched to Blast Kiteboa...

07712 831951 or 07810 862268 info@blastkiteboarding.co.uk The second number refers you to the first number which refers you to the website, or you can leave a message. I went to the website to email them but the contacts part of the website doesn't work. Not easy to buy one of these things. I am in...

Re: Dynabar V8

You need to fix your website.

It failed at the payment stage as a guest and when I tried to register it failed because of the captcha.

And you don't have a phone number to ring.

Re: The 2015 SHINN Thread, the new year starts!

That board looks like a cut down Shinnster with more fins. Maybe moving toward having a bit of Turbo genes - or Firewire Vanguard? I still think there is maybe more development potential for a wave twintip when you get down to the small sizes and powered riding. Maybe the Turbo direction or the Alki...

Re: Foil Boards

I would be most interested in seeing, if you construct it, any form of depth control for the main foil. Hmm, might have to try this out myself. This guy does it. Here's the pdf explaining how. http://www.augredelair.fr/joomla/recits/luc_armant/ailedeau.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return fa...

Re: Foil Boards

I had not seen that... Interesting! Maybe the future of foils for speed, at least in that it will be a pulling foil? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uNWkd8nYHY" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; This guy has shown that you can make a foil which keeps itself at a certain depth automatica...

Re: Foil Boards

I just found the FB page Interesting to see a tuttle box style fixing instead of a plate! Most of the ones I have seen so far are DT fittings... Talking to James today about the speedweek.. Sounded like he was topping his foil out earlier than anticipated and was going faster on a conventional spee...

Re: The 2015 SHINN Thread, the new year starts!

I have a 150 by 50 King Gee (2014). I can't understand how the pressure is so even on the feet for such a long board. The KG is a 3 step rocker, but it has hugely flexible tips... Having heard what Mark has been up (if I have interpreted him correctly) he's been looking at the new mould's ability t...

Re: The 2015 SHINN Thread, the new year starts!

Also I've been lucky enough to hear Mark talk about board design at an event and even luckier to talk shop with him over a few beers. What might be interesting (if he has the time) is to do a Q&A session i.e we post up some questions we'd like to ask on here over a week or so, compile them and Mike...

Re: The 2015 SHINN Thread, the new year starts!

AFAIK most of the Shinn board's all have a variation of the CC rocker Techy Stuff and it's how other elements such as the core, mould, rail length, outline and of course flex work that deliver different performance and feel (obviously)/ The new Monk feels stiffer in the tips and provide much more f...

Re: The 2015 SHINN Thread, the new year starts!

When it says the 2015 Monk has the original CC rocker, does that mean its the same as the rocker on the original Gorilla Monk? from Mark; Yes indeed the rocker is the same but the flex amount (global), response speeds and dynamic flex pattern (the shape the board achieves whilst flexing) have all b...

Re: The 2015 SHINN Thread, the new year starts!

It's a mystery to me why they don't match the 3 slots in the pad with 3 slots in the strap - then you could adjust the width as well.
