Re: So where to go for a cheap windy winter holiday?

So how predictable is the wind there and what speeds are average in the winter?

Re: Light wind (15knts) Freestyle kites

See if you can demo a Liquidforce 14m NRG light breeze.

Amazing low end, loads of float just not sure about unhooking? Just getting into that stuff but my 12m is fine for unhooking and I can get going in 12mph winds easy with a twin tip.

Re: A London Kiter & Proud...

I'm guessing this was spurred on by a certain thread from the other day lol. I'm not, no we're not bothered by the dfl's at camber! It's an epic sport and a great beach and a fair few of the lads I ride with are London way, it's the weekend warriors that are a problem and the eBay specials. They eit...

Re: Camber Chaos.

There already are separate zones at camber, the teaching zone is to the north of the black and white flag, the learning zone is south of the shipwreck and the rest is for more advanced riders. Yes it does get stupidly busy on a sunny windy weekend and the weekend warriors that don't know the rights ...

Re: Kiteboard bar: Flexifoil Extreme bar?

There is a huge change from fixed to depower kites, but a lot of cross overs to make a fixed bridle kite turn faster you apply brake/rear line tension on the side you want it to turn in by tweaking the handle, and the same applies to a depower kite via the bar. with a fixed bridle kite you can gain ...

Re: Kiteboard bar: Flexifoil Extreme bar?

Why would you want to put a fixed bridal kite on a bar? You will lose 50 percent of the kite control by doing this, you can't use the brake lines for steering or a power boost by dialing in some brake line tension... All you need to do is use a strop line between the handles to hook into your new ha...

No idea about the locations you've listed but sandwich bay and greatstone work in a NE wind :)

Re: I dont know how to adjust my lines correctly

Your back stalling will be due to line length and wind... To me the wind in your video seems very light indeed and you will need at least 20mph for it to fly right... To correct your lines try removing your outside/steering lines and attach them toa solid object and pull hard on them! Lines come pre...

Re: Liquid Force 2013 swivel

Haha yes the price of the bar is high but so are the components... You have to remember the swivel has a ceramic bearing not metal or plastic! To give you a rough idea on the cost of ceramic bearings... A set of stainless steel bearings for a landboard is around 18 quid but for ceramic ones it costs...

I was told I might never walk properly again! The only thought I had was bollox to walking I want to kite Since then I've...

Re: Sunburnt eyes and other wierd stuff

You do get to see some strange sights at camber! Did you see the kite going over the bank after the owner got dragged across the beach and up the shingle... Just another day lol Never had the red eye but had the sunburnt eye thing. If I'm landboarding then I wear sunglasses but on the waterI go comm...

Re: Monster squall at Camber today!

I cannot believe that photo- truly amazing. The fact that no one was hurt just goes to show how amazingly safe the sport is nowadays. Imagine if this had happened afew years back while everyone was attached to huge C's with limited depower???? That photo really is pretty special- defo send it to th...
