A bit of Velcro and a knife and your safety system will be complete. I've got the stick from a Magnum Classic that will make a great chicken dick too. Lemme know your address and I'll post it to you.

LOL fantastic - literally spat my coffee out at the Gangnam gag at the end  Reminded me of the "pants down your the loser" game that is very popular at our house..... (though not so much with my wife funnily enough)

Re: Kiteboarder Cross at Scottish Windfest Fraserburgh

I saw an article on kite boarder cross in Kiteworld magazine. It looks like fantastic fun. Really hope it's a success up there & that some similar events make their way further South :-)

Re: 12m/9m vs. 12m/10m kite quivers

Personally I think a 10 and 12 are too close together. I've got a 10m Vegas and a 12m evo and even they overlap loads. You say (Rakeem) that you prefer to sit it out at > 25 knots, so you will have a pretty uninterrupted sweet spot at the lower end of the winds you do kite in, but a 10m evo in 25 kn...

Re: Lost: 2 ozone bars at West Wittering

Sorry to hear that - its very rare that stuff goes missing at J Road & worrying as I always leave my spare kit on the beach there! Was this on Monday evening? I came off the water around 8:30PM and am pretty sure there were no ozone bags by the groyne near the steps then. I'm assuming you've already...

Re: **Advise on gear,urgent guys***

You would be based near Chichester by any chance? I think I know exactly what shop you're talking about..... :) agree with everyone else's reply - a torch is probably not the best choice as a first kite, and TBH you can get a similar deal or better by shopping around. Any 2013 kites left will be on ...

Re: interesting ref fin size

35mm fins for me all the way. I much prefer a looser board - mine came with 53mm fins as standard & I swapped to the 35's quite soon after. I put them back on as an experiment the other day and felt like I could barely ride, the board behaved so differently. Fell straight on my face the first time I...

+2 for the "really don't need them" answer.....

Have been barefoot, bare hand and bare head for the last few sessions now and have been fine (and I'm a real pussy when it comes to cold hands too)

Another vote here for the blank key option. Have been using the same one since 2008. It's a bit rusty now but still perfectly serviceable.

Re: next board.....Bliss v Monk v Raptor

Just have a bit of trouble in hard toeside carving the monk ......seems to lose grip at speed and sharp turns for this sir you need to up the fin size - I'm guessing you have 42mm fins? 53mm is a minimum if you want to really bury the rail and keep it stable.. or 57 if you really want to go for it!...

Re: Anyone kiting the Devon / Cornwall swell on Saturday?

Sweet :) top tip with sail repair tape if you didn't know it already is to apply heat and pressure to it. I'm scared to use an iron but I've found that a table spoon heated in boiling water then dried off makes the perfect tool. Stops any peeling :)
