Whats the crack with camping?

I hear that the event is between the piers and i cant see us been allowed to camp there on a bank holiday weekend.

Dear All

Blackpool is almost there 2 weeks to go

Finally we have info on all you need to know please read, as there is important info you need to know -

Location of event

St Chads Headland (you will see flags and Marquees) between South and Central pier (there are three in Blackpool)

There is limited parking here so there is

Kit Drop off and secure overnight storage in marquee

Access to site with vehicles is restricted due to Tramway and will be marshalled

Access times as follows – Friday, Saturday and Sunday

7.30am-9.30am
6pm - 8pm

All vehicles must be off site by 9.30 am and 8pm respectively

Additional parking may be available should know shortly – may be worth van sharing a lift from Stargate

Showers and Toilets on site

Overnight and daily Parking

Free Parking for competitors

Stargate 28th-30th – permits will be issued

Advance Registration – to help speed things up for all competitors and allow a sleep in for some!

Location – BLCC – Star Gate

Thursday 6-7pm

Friday 6-7pm

Normal Registration

On site 8.30 am- 9.30 am

Riders briefing – 9.35 am Friday and Saturday

Entertainment

Friday night

Location – BLCC – Star Gate

– RED BULL BBQ

Saturday night

Location – BLCC – Star Gate

im confused. where is the parking? what do we do all day if theres no wind,? just sit on the prom and twiddle our thumbs?

or is it, were only aloowed to travel into the parking area at these specific times, but can park on the prom all day?

So how far away is Stargate from the comp area? Can we walk it? If not, how do we get back to the comp zone after parking at Stargate? Tram?? :-)

Can't answer all the questions that have been asked, but....

It's about a 10 minute walk from south shore to south pier, possibly less!

I can't think of anywhere you could pitch a tent, maybe in the compound of the blcc, but it's all hard ground, phil clarky may be able to provide more info, I'll speak to him later!
