Yes, there are permits for the car park at starr gate, which is often referred to as south shore, around 150 I last hear! Obviousley competetitors will get first shout at these.

Regarding camping, there are limited spaces and these will be for competitors. We have had a lot of requests, if you are using a pop up tent it may be worthwhile getting on the hard standing behind the BLCC. Also, those camping will unload there gear in the camping area then have to move cars into the main car park as this area is also used for members parking

Anyone wanting to stay in tent who isn't competing should check out the local campsites, easily found on gooooogle

Myself and Phil are just trying to provide as much info as possible here, as this isn't an official BKSA forum, as there are some poeple who still ain't happy with these arrangements or if you have any other enquiries please contact the BKSA direct on the number provided earlier in this thread :-)

Cheers

Am I right in saying that we cannot stay at the club on Sunday night? if not then anyone fancy heading to Rhosneigr when we finish on Sunday as the forecast for Monday looks sick!? Also can I just clarify that when I arrive at unholy o'clock on Friday night, there will be a space for my van somewhere where I won't get a ticket when I wake up in the morning? It's just I think I heard that the gates to the BLCC will be locked at night??

You will be able to park your van round the back of the BLCC, there will be other vans there, this is the designated event parking area. There is no parking in the BLCC compound except for members and even we don't get in at weekends sometimes, due to those pesky jet ski users!!

Give me a call if you need more info

I am planning to drive round to Rhossy after breakfast on Sunday for an afternoon session at Rhossy and overnight to Monday.

Vey windy here this morning and very, very wet, not too pleasant!

Estimates last night gave the wind at around 40 to 50 mph, poeple had trouble pitching tents, so as the forcast is pretty much blowing it's nuts off and pissing down all day, you tent dwellers may have few problems

Tomorrow looks better though

I must say that although I was very negative about the way the comuting to event site would make the event hard work I must eat my words and congratulate everyone who helped co-ordinate the event including Phil, Tony and the BKSA crew on making it as easy as possible for the riders to get parked close to the site. I have thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and think it's great to see the categories growing in numbers and the buggy and landboarding gaining more following. Respect has to go to sea support for covering a busy freestyle event at the same time as the course racing. I would like to see Blackpool on the list again next year, not leas because it's less than 2 hours drive for me for a change.
