Tony I know its not really your remit but you have any idea why the BKSA have put the dates for this event running from Thursday rather than Friday? It means the amateurs are running on friday, and surely the spirit of amateurs covers people who have normal day jobs (me!) so can't make weekdays usually? It's unlikely I'll be able to get the Friday off work and I'd have liked to compete in the final event, as was working the last weekend for Bridlington. I know things won't be able to be changed at this stage but wondered if you or anyone else could shed any light on this??

Thanks! Amy

Daft idea.. its two days off if you want to watch the pros ride on the thursday - one of the main reasons i was thinking of making the trip. Its three days off if you need to travel any distance to get there. E.g from North Wales.

Shame.. Redcar is my girlfriends backyard and i've kited there a few times. I'm sure im not the only one who wont be able to enjoy it due to it being midweek.

Please can someone post some accomodation details. It would be useful to know the venue for the prizegiving too - makes a difference if you can walk there instead of driving

Whats the crack with kids, are they going to be excluded from the festiveties at 9 oclock like last year or will they be able to stay up.

With the junior fleet been one of the biggest it will be a shame to send them away early when they have all done so well this year.

Juniors allowed - no alchol

Juniors were only excluded at Night club last year as would all under 18's - they should be in bed - it was well after 11pm !

on the accomodation front , when you say camper vans is that the usual kip in van scenario or is there a static caravan site as google earth seems to show one, if so is there a contact number for the van site?

There is a static caravan site but they're all private, no hire and they don't take campers, tourers, tents, etc unless they've changed their policy over last couple of years.
