Really disappointed about that.

As a school teacher I cannot pick holiday dates, the juniors will also be at school then and there are people with normal jobs and families who will have to take annual leave to attend the event! The main BKSA freestyle events are all at weekends with only pro's competing on Fridays - why should the wave events be different?

Mark, I rekon most of those southern softies would struggle to handle the conditions up here. Every now and then they get something close to what we get on a regular basis. Its good to see all the locals are up for it and getting out on the surfboards on a regular basis.

Yeh that picture does make the waves look small..
That day was pretty much flat water and very little wind but fortunately we spend so much time out on the water up here that no one has any time to take good pics or video. :( or is that

So Mark where were you today? it was epic, the waves were some of the cleanest i've seen. Especially from the inside of the barrel :-D

Even riding behind the waves to get a good position they were well over head high, had to jump just to see the beach and work out where we were.
got some sweet hand plant backloop kiteloops off the lip.

Oh and yeh twintips definately allowed! well can't say no when thats what I use eh?

Ouch  just looked at the map. Anyone from the south west want to share the driving and gas ? Assuming the wind is on :-)
