the peasants revolt

few issues

are we saying we cannot go out at high tide? or is it get early launch stay upwind away from high w ater mark - not easy if underpowered

example today 2 pm = 9.5 metres = no distance to launch from if we use the 50/100 metre from dunes distance

organise a party and invite the pimps with their goodies so its added incentive for people to turn up stay on and party?

ill be down late afternoon - too knackered from last night a nd grab some brownie points from her

yep rig up to the right of the gap at nbcp and walk out at least 50 big paces out to sea .

we did today the tide only went to 70m ish from the dunes ..

frankly st annes has been waiting for an accident with folk turning up to late and rigging next to the wall or in the dunes ..

if youre not in b4 ht then you should have to wait ..

I also think that most kitesurfer have not got an understanding of the difference in the tide heights and times at st annes

and we get guys still rigging kites then getting changed and leaving kites unattended

yep go official - loads out yesterday more today cant stop snowballs

paste the code of conduc all contatcs etc and maybe some personal advice as to little bits n pieces / issues as they crop up

i persoanlly think kitesurfing kites should be advised not to be flown on the beach full stop unless tuning setting up and hell of a long way out at low water mark or no public around.............launch g et on water full stop

few issues

will people wait if high tide and lagoons and people are out - i wudnt i wud walk out in water and get a launch - be realistic we need to be fair n honest - the wall must remain a no go zone as shud the slipway area at starr gate

are we having an official line of complaint naming and shaming bad practice if words dont work -

yesterday - 3 incidents - i observed

1. one kite was blown towards the sea wall about 150 metres - in the process as my kite was landed then the guy just let mine go as his was blowing away - mine blew about 10 metres fortunately - never ask him again to land my kite again - sand kites immediately -

2. kite flying close to dunes and close to public -

3. rider close to other riders out of control tricks kite crashing - usual lack of total concern - ive told him myself previously

all remain annonomous as all are regulars but you can guess easy enuff

does paul have the jurisdiction to tell people they are not welcome if they repeatedly break code of conduct

fuk why am i typing this - get around a table and thrash out t his shit immediately - its time to show alex and peter were building on their foundations

off down the beach - i arrived yeserday at 2 pm for high tide - i was 3 hrs late

internet sukcs

yes mart will do soon on here , today is noahs 2nd birthday so thats why im not at the beach ...

and also yes lets get around a table and thrash it out and make some advisory notes , then we can email all users and i can get all the email addresses of the kiters that have signed the code of conduct ,

myself and paul are making a data base of all signed kiters ...

yes paul has been told by his bosses to ask any kiters to leave if they disabey , then if continue , they he must call the st annes police and they will send they police land rover....

will do the post in the morning

"fuk why am i typing this - get around a table and thrash out this shit immediately - its time to show alex and peter were building on their foundations "

a month later nothing!??

i wud feel disappointed if i was alex / peter who made it all happen on our behalf

there has been quite a few incidents / mishaps already and if the crap hits the fan again the council are going to start asking whats been done since................

and before anyone dare say what have i done im sat here waiting on a role if required cos foot soldeir i am - leader i am not and its quite obvious we need a leader who does more than type on forums........

who is our leader? come on chaps / chapesses open forum first stop at ssbr to get collective thoughts

after a conversation or two in recent weeks its time to w ake you all up

i apologise if things have happened without my knowledge / anyone elses knowledge but that w ud kinda defeat the objective

last post on this thread for me - in fact my forum life is fast withering - id rather have the beach face to face agendas than t he hidden forum agendas

you know my phone number - my support remains but ill call the shot - act now and be pro active

mart

mission statement
future planning needs / resources
training/instruction in place
code of conduct review
formal launch of a ssbr rider scheme - ssbr forum thread on this foum as point of contact - discusiion of rider scheme
signage - what , where , when
funding - sources of - accounts - planned events / advertising , bio of all relevent press / media coverage - raising profile of ssbr

aob

alot cud take shape over the summer - im stuck here 4 weeks with time on m y hand to get stuck into some - hell i cant have wind every day

cheerio mart - small lad who flies roos

All

i think we should go for the full on rash vest membership deal and try to get rid of some of most of the nobs.

the problem we have is that the council are too slow and un pro active but will be too quick to enforce a ban when something goes wrong.
the way things have been going over the past weeks it won't take long.

All

just had a chat with Martin and we agree that we need to get things sorted.
suggestions..

Organise a meeting at BLCC and invite anyone who cares.
Intend to launch rash vest/members scheme.
All who join must have insurance and agree to code of conduct.
I will speak to Paul Mc W and see what his take is on it.
Basically the council don't seem to be doing much to police the actions since the ban.
I don't think we can just leave it in their hands, wait for an accident to happen and then say that they never put signs up.

I will talk to Alex at the shop tomorrow about his involement and see where he wants to go with it.

mart also suggested that the rashies have a hangtime logo on them.
any objections?
