Hi There

I am heading home to chez ma and pa for a few days over Christmas and was wondering where the kiting spots were around or north of Bristol?

Any advice would be fab!

western super mare as the tide is dropping good Mid to low tide but watch out for the mud... It is pretty sticky...

Self launching close to the waterline at low water is not an option.

where can I get to from Bristol centre for an evening of kitesurfing on the current wind direction - tomorrow (Thurs)?
Anyone else likely to be out?

Karl, Timba and I had planned to head to Portland tomorrw - nowhere near the Bristol area, but seeing as we'll be going FROM Bristol, I'm sure if we can squeeze you into the car you'll be more than welcome.

I usually go to Weston-super-Mare if the tide is right tomorrow I think it will be 2ish - meaning kiting is ok from 12-4.

Ahh just realised you mention kiting in the evening... I think your only option is to drive over to Rest Bay (J37 Porthcawl M4).

Weston will be no good after 4pm.

Soz - guess you'll be at work when we go to Portland.

You should be able to get to Porthcawl within an hour and a half of hitting the M4. Talk to JV/Rush and ask whether it looks like it will be worth the drive.
