Hello

Has anybody been kiting here before? Thinking of going in April. Will it be warm enough and is it good for beginners?

Thanks!

Should be warm by then, not the best place in the world to learn......bit gusty near the shore, and no shallow areas.......Dakhla is better, but Essaouira is a lovely town with more tourist things to do.

I've been and wouldn't recommend it. The new road should be finished now but it took a lifetime to get the the beach from the airport. There are better places to go to learn that have blue and not brown water....

We are here at the moment..just out of season so nice and quiet. They reckon April is a good time to come also as out of season but will be plenty hot enough and windy then.

The school at Ocean Vagabond do a deal (out of season) of something like £300 for a weeks lessons inc all kit...inc SUP Windsurf gear too. We've met a couple here doing this and all the kit is decent too....they have free reign to choose what kit they want for the day.

Also check out Explora Morocco as they get great reviews too...check them out on trip advisor.

The water on the shore line is brown (but still clean) but once out the back it's clear blue. The winds are very gusty though especially nearer the town end of the kiting area.

The old town Medina is pretty cool too and a true cultural journey....and it seems pretty safe etc too.

We've been mostly at other spots tbh like Moulay and had it to ourselves each day, not many places you can get that.
Dakhla is cool too but also can be a drag if you have stay over a night for connecting flight in Casablanca.
