kite bars

Shoot the breeze and stay in the loop with the unhinged and unhooked word on the street.

For years i had Best kites and loved there bars with an adjustable stopper ball but now I have been riding Ozone for a few years and although the bar is good I'm really missing the stopper ball.

What bars have stoppers and which is the best preferably with a cleat depower system.

I use ozone too and i prefer the pu covered depower line. I think the options that have this with a stopper ball are the airush smart bar and the latest rrd global bar.

Might try buy a spare rrd stopper to see if it fits my ozone race bar.

I use Slingshot bars on all of my kites (Ozone Edges, C4s and Flysurfer foils) (other than my short line foil board bars)

Works great.

Ocean Rodeo are doing a PU stopper for their new shift stick bar. I believe that they will be selling the stopper separately (as in the reps on the forum say they will be). The bar isn't due to go on sale until May/June but if you like your ozone bar it might be worth waiting as a ready made solution might be on the way. I have been waiting to get one for my Zeeko bar for a while now.

Cabrinha 1X overdrive, pu covered (I won't entertain uncovered depower rope ever again), spring based stopper is awesome. THe depower is a pull pull above the bar, but it works well and I've had no issues with it. I hate under the bar cleat systems though as they tend not to work when overpowered, and fail to max power which is a basic design flaw.
It's slightly annoying to pack away as it's way to big when coiled, but for how good it is I'm not bothered by that.
