Does anybody go out this time of year? Getting impatient waiting for Spring, and am wondering how cold it would be out there now!

Wuss!

I was out two weeks ago and was toasty warm in my boots and gloves. I swear when I walked into the water I didn't even feel like I was getting wet.

Look like the wind is back this weekend. Anybody going for a early session in lancing on Saturday?

We might get some wind tomorrow and low tide at Lancing is in the morning. I might take a day off (or half day). Anybody going to Lancing in the morning?

Lancing, Saturday.

Very favourable tides and a nice forecast.

Anyone going?

Agree, plan to be at Lancing on Saturday for getting out on the water around 2:15pm (ie: 2hrs before low tide at 4:15pm), hopefully Neap tide backs off this time!
However may also go to Goring Gap green first to get on the water around 11:15am (ie: 1hr after high tide at 10:15am).
Basically I have two options, both or just one of them, depending on what the wind does between now and Saturday.

I am also thinking about taking Thursday off work this week to hit Goring Gap green, around 9:40am on the water (ie: 1hr after high tide at 8:40am).
There is a hook on a chain on the top of the beach in a gap between the beach hut's, around 100-200 yards (best guess) from the Cafe heading Worthing direction.
Hope that makes sense, but basically you park on the road and kite off the green and can still see the Cafe on your right in the distance as you enter the water.

So if you can make it on both days / both places then see you there, I have a blue-grey Vauxhall Vectra estate and don't think I have seen another one so you should spot me - 07 plate.

Cheers, have fun!

Confirmed taking the day off work tomorrow, on Goring Gap green beach around 9am, hopefully someone around to launch / land me.
Otherwise will have to try the chain hook between the beach huts, used it to land one time so should work to launch as well I guess

Ok I hit the beach today at both Goring Gap 9am and Lancing 1pm but no joy :(
The wind only got to 6-9kts all day - total frustration!

And now the Saturday forecast for Lancing is to be nuking! Too much for me, I'll be watching the rugger instead

Firework display with the family Saturday evening so no time to hit the beach in the afternoon of Saturday and get back in time anyway.

However may try for Sunday, all dayer again!, to see if I get lucky at Goring in the morning or Lancing in the late afternoon low tide as wind looks possible right now.
