Road trip advice.

Shoot the breeze and stay in the loop with the unhinged and unhooked word on the street.

I've got two weeks holiday coming up and I'm looking for some flat water ideally within 4 hours of south Wales but don't mind going further, this will be for a midweek ride and will give a lift to anyone who wants to tag along if there's space in the car.
Any suggestions of where I can go?

Dunno why you think travelling further will offer you better than what South Wales has to offer you

Pembrey has some good flat sections, and I believe burry port has flat water too

Save your fuel and time, stay local :-D

Hayle/the bluff?
Marazion?

Definitely Check out Devon & Cornwall -
Saunton & Westward Ho on the N Devon Coast,

Moving Down to Cornwall - Watergate, Gwithian, Hayle, Daymer Bay on the N Coast.
Marazion on the S Coast.

Loads of spots all in easy reach of each other with varied conditions & catering to most wind directions....

Devon and Cornwall, no where else compare for variety and scenery.

Few years ago I printed off every spot guide for Cornwall from kitebeaches.com and marked everyone on a road atlas and just hit a different beach every day, best time ever, sure beats Southend

If you're thinking of Cornwall, check out Dom Moore's spot guide here:

For flat water, you won't get better than Exmouth on a NW or S/SW.
