Re: Foil Boards

Some chilled footage from one of our local beaches on one of those days where the forecast didn't quite come through. A couple of sensible chaps on Chronos, I'm on a 15m Razor, my Livewire and boots are sat on the beach without a hope of even getting wet :) Ha! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpsDpem...

Re: Woo - Kiteboarder League?

I'd have one already if there were Android support too. They're really cutting down their market only supporting iOS so far.

I am surprised by the numbers so far though, I would have thought people would be jumping in excess of kite line lengths. (20-25m)
Does the woo under-read?

Re: 7m "C" kites

I'd be very surprised to hear someone saying that the razors don't boost well... its something they really excel in, once you're used to boosting on a C. The 2015 7m has a really big wind range and great top end, but as everyone has mentioned you do up and down fairly quick, but with a well timed do...

Re: Stagnant 2nd Hand Market

One (small) upside is that you may as well ride hard rather than trying to preserve the second hand value of your kite!

Re: If you don't like water down your neck

I've got an old wettie which I was gonna throw away and cut out a short tube section from the legs.
Stick it over your head, job done :)

Re: Bodyweight & Kit Size vs Fitness & Power

I think what most people don't realise is that even when you're overpowered, the kite is still only exerting a fraction of your bodyweight. It probably only needs to pull 20kg to be comfortably powered. It needs to be pulling almost 4 times that to start lofting you. That said, 20kg is still quite a...

Re: About to buy some kites

You don't really need to be buying different kite models to do the things you're asking for. A good quality freestyle kite is just as good to unhook on (if not better!) in the smaller sizes. I know you probably find the slowness of a 13m reassuring for unhooking, but there is absolutely no reason wh...

Re: Toe side pop

Heelside front flip is gonna be pretty tricky - do you not mean a heelside backflip ? There's one I did here at around 0:48 secs - can do em off the flat, but defo easier/less forced off a kicker http://www.vimeo.com/78206762 Next progression should be to do them toeside, but its not something i've ...

Re: Super windy kite

+1 for the stormchaser - boosts to the moon, loops insanely fast (such fun!), really good feedback, and good bottom end. Can unhook on it too :)
With your ID's you wont need a new bar for it etc either :)
