Re: Croatia

I did a road trip down the Croatian coast in May 2010. It wasn't a great time of year for wind, and we didn't make it to the islands (too keen to get to turkey). As well as the known places, there are plenty of interesting spots to be found if you like to explore and you have transport. Premantura (...

Car Keys...

I got a new car recently with electronic key. Im wondering what do peeps do with there keys these days. I always used to stuff mine in a kite bag and leave it on the beach, but that was when I had a shit car and sort of wanted it to get nicked... Way I see it there are 3 options. Hide, Secure or Wat...

Re: Regaining start position with board still attached..

There is also a technique where you can twist round to get the board back in front of you. You kind of turn on your side, then bring your knees up to you chest, then twist round onto your other side and throw your head back, usually this brings you back to the right position.... Its pretty hard to d...

Re: Foot Straps

Id second the Naish Apex straps, they have loads of customisability to make them fit your feet. I've ridden Shinn (previously Nobile) boards for years and always find his straps very uncomfortable and impossible to get tight enough. People rate his sneakers quite highly but I just think what works f...

Wanted - Cheep Trainer Kite

Anybody got a 2nd hand trainer kite (2 line foil + bar) they would sell me?

2015 is the year I teach my wife to kite.

Re: Looking for Below Knee Boardshorts website or shop?

HA! Yes. Despite looking a bit try hard thats not far off what I'm looking for. Last time i went away kiting I got so badly burned on my knees it kind of ruined the trip (serious pain every time i was off the water). Factor 50 all day long just isn't enough when your wet board shorts are flapping ag...

Re: need help finding good c kites

I have a 13m Fuel I think 2006 or 07 (the first one with the 5th line)? In good condition just a couple of tiny holes patched with repair tape... Id be willing to see it to a good home for some beer and postage costs... I also have a 9m of the same vintage but that has a huge tear from LE to TE and ...

Looking for Below Knee Boardshorts website or shop?

Anybody know a good UK website or shop (ideally south east) that stocks Below Knee board shorts this time of year? Gearing up for a kite trip next month and really need a viable solution to stop my knees being incinerated on the water... Ta

Re: The Big Charity Downwinder

My Brother, I & our awesome team mate were some of the last to be launched, leaving the beach at about 1pm. Though in some ways I'm glad as it meant we all chose our smallest kites (8m for me). I didn't realise that the event had been called off until I got to the end. When I was at Pagham the marsh...

Nope... Cheat!... That image is clearly Photoshopped. A quick search through the surf-sales.com photo archive (http://www.surf-sales.com/Pics" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and I found the original image: http://i43.tinypic.com/x3irtv.jpg      :l...

Re: A London Kiter & Proud...

In fairness its been years since I was last at Camber, and as I work freelance I pick and chose my days off based on the best wind which isn't often the weekend. I have seen a few people doing silly things with a cheap kite they shouldn't have bought of eBay, but when I was starting I found forums l...
