Casual Sexism

As a dad who is keen to encourage their young daughter into the delights of this great sport, and just as a human being, it pisses me off at the amount of casual sexism in so much of the branding/videos and similar around kitesurfing. You only have to move your eyes a few mm to the crappy kite cover...

Re: king of the air - uk riders

i watched the live feed. Lewis crash was a horror and it wa great to see the other riders all react so quickly. the rescue boat came in later - but i don't know the logistics and distance involved. what was really odd was the live feed commentators just carried on talking about new kit and what a gr...

Re: Kiting alone...

in response to my earlier post - in terms of other beach users, i kind of meant life guard folk - i would never assume a dog walker would be able to help me. For me kiting alone means no other kiters about.

Kiting alone...

what's people's view's on kiting, completely alone? As in, no other kiters out and no beach users about. (our regular spot is off beaten track and low tide is well off from being viewable from road) I am pretty experienced now, have been able to self launch and land without hassle since i started ba...

Re: Regaining start position with board still attached..

Take the kite across the wind window and once it's in the power zone( centre of the zenith) send it high like your going for a jump, this should get you back to your stance for kitesurfing.
cheers - i'll give that a go!

Regaining start position with board still attached..

Not sure how to describe this but here goes... have been kiting for about 3 years now. Feel like i can handle myself in most situations. Normally, if i come a cropper after a jump or similar and find my self sort of out of balance in the water, the kite starting to pull me backwards in water - i kic...
