Re: Cheapest way to holiday in Tenerife in March

Tone - if you go send me a message on FB and I'll give you details as been out there ~20 times so know the place pretty well. I also know a couple of contacts for apartments right on the front. I'm out again 12 to 21 March.

Re: Ride Engine harnesses - any problems?

I posted this elsewhere, but since this has popped up I'll update here - getting the fit right is super important with this harness. I was sent my 2017 Hex up by Rich at Ride Engine UK (thanks for the awesome service as usual). Comparing it to the 2016 version there has been some tweaks to the build...

Re: Shinn 2016 Thread- the new spring release boards

@Carved1 I know exactly where you are coming from regarding the Monk being a bit detached at times - like you are not really in the driving seat... but who cares as the ride is still helluva fun! With this in mind, I think the Ronson could be the board you are looking for as it does bridge the Monk-...

Re: Shinn 2016 Thread- the new spring release boards

I've ridden the Ronson a fair bit so lifted from the Kiteforum thread: So the Ronson... I’ve spent a good few hours on it from being maxxed to just powered on a 6m in some pretty heavy wind-blown waves to powered 12m session in some flat-choppy conditions. It appears to be the ‘replacement’ of the U...

Re: Old School Kit

The Ultrasonic has immense stamp pop similar to the 666... there are only a few left and on sale in the size I think the size you'd want - the 135x40.

Reason on sale as something new coming http://www.powerkiteshop.com/shinn-rons ... oCjz_w_wcB

2017 Union Review So the 2017 Core range has been introduced on the Airush website and usually Mike has updated the forum with details; however I do know that an early ‘shipment’ has had him pretty busy of late. Like previous years and being a UK team tester (crash dummy) for Airush I got my hands ...

Re: Last two weeks in June...Scotland ?

Great write-up.

It was good to meet you in person - and thanks for the launch. It is place I'd love to visit, but persuading the non-kiting other half who knows what our weather can be like is the difficult part!

Re: Airush 2017

In terms of the Razor what board has a huge amount of grip in the shinn range? Ultrasonic IMO has the biggest rail grip. A very underrated board in the range - not as slashy as some of the others but if you can load that rail in high winds the release is super explosive. Mike might not agree but he...

Re: Ride Engine harnesses - any problems?

First paragraph it is correctly fitted and have doubled up etc spoken to guys at FC its not that. Fitness wise, very! In the past I've had (waist harnesses) Da kine renegade and pro limit predator which I used again today and lasted 4 hours with no pain no riding up. Maybe just not right for you

Re: Ride Engine harnesses - any problems?

I do think fit and placement are super important when choosing and wearing the RE? I was a small in other harnesses and would cinch them up as tight as possible at times, but with the RE I’m in a medium with 10” bar. Also you need to wear it above your hips – make sure it is not too high or low on y...

Re: Last two weeks in June...Scotland ?

You never know up here - that time of year more likely 12m, but I've been lit on a 6m before and it really just depend on what is rolling in from the Atlantic. If you have a van and are flexible you'll pretty much wind wind somewhere so play it forecast and come visit some stunning spots :-)

Yeah that one chap was definitely not having as much fun on his [insert other brand kite here] as when he was on the 12m!

Re: Airush 2016 - the new thread and the new kite - UNION

Firstly thanks to Mike for coming all the way up and across to our little event at Sands of Luce this past weekend. No only is he a true gent but the demo kit he brought got us on the water when the winds were light. I got to try the 16m and 14m Unions and I'm not usually a fan of big kites and woul...

Luce Bay Surf Weekender 14/15 May

Hey all we are having a Surf Weekender at Sands of Luce Holiday Park on 14/15 May. Full details can be found on Facebook m but we'll have demo gear from Shinn and Airush with fun on and off the water for the whole family coupled with good food, music and probably a few drinks. Importantly it looks l...
