Re: Blind newbie!

Have a look at progear, the ones with a strap. Then wear a helmet. Never had a problem with them coming off - sometimes end up under my chin after a heavy wipe out.

Hope this helps

Re: Kite sales..

Hi all Maybe the motivation to change is not what it used to be. Is a 4 yr old kite really that much different to this years model. If it's still in good condition then why change, better to spend the cash on a beach in the sun? I have also been looking for a new board - nobile or shinn but shops ar...

Re: What size of kite

Hi I was about your weight when I started. So from personal experience I wouldn't go smaller than a 13m kite. For a board look around 44-46cm wide. Suggest you look for kites after 2009. Best to check with you instructed as they will be able to judge your ability. Hope this helps Sent from my iPad u...

Re: Shinn Monk or Not?

Hi

Went from a T5 to an NHP and was very pleased with the upgrade. Locks in better to handle the power and is faster. Much better in the chop.
Heard nothing but good things about the Monk but never tried one.

Hope this helps

Re: Teaching daughter - Has anyone done this?

+1 for the lagoon learning. Took our daughter to kite junkies in Sharm. A totally stress free experience and was riding on day 3. I then helped her with my gear but mostly only watching with the odd hint.

Hope this helps

Re: Kiting Hayling Island?

Hi

Think there is a public free beach. But if you want to go behind golf course at west beach a day ticket can be purchased. You will need insurance to purchase a day ticket.

Hope this helps

Re: Kite Bags (the ones they come in)

+1 for the zephyr bag. 2 kites, bars, pump, board, harness and wetsuit. Perfect for the Alvor lagoon walk.

And did I mention my wife could sit in it to get out of the wind

Re: Mystic Code 01 Undo Boa bindings

Knob should click then pull the ends of the harness. If that doesn't work you could try WD40.
