Re: Woo - Kiteboarder League?
woo is not accurate its a best guess within about +/- 20%. Thats a lot of error when you are talking in .1 of a meter. I have also found that sometimes when you get a second lift it confuses it, and breaks it down into 2 jumps or voids it. They are fun but its meaningless.

Have you guys joined lancing kite surf club. If not the do so. It's a very good way of meeting others in the same situation. The face book page is pretty active and great for making sure there will be others on the beach.

Re: Woo - Kiteboarder League?
I'm inclined to belive you. I have noticed that the hang time element plays a huge role in the calculations. There is a guy with an edge who goes reasonably high but nothing special but gets good float, and therefore awarded a higher score. I also found that some of my biggest jumps that have gone b...

Re: Woo - Kiteboarder League?
Sam light did a 32 m jump yesterday. I'm also not sure they are accurate. If you think it through data from 3 accallerometers is only going to be guess work, it's fun but it's not accurate.

Re: Woo - Kiteboarder League?
I bought 6 Woo's for me and friends that ride at Goring. so far we have lost one and sent two back as the stopped working. Android version comes out soon, and they are aware of the faults on the early versions and say they have now fixed the problems. Lewis, im waiting for a email for your next boo...

I thought they didn't work so gave up on the idea, but if they do I'm in
Could someone attach one to their centre strut and then send the kite to 12 and back down again to see if it any where near accurate.

Re: Stagnant 2nd Hand Market
Unfortunately for all involved it is a downward spiral. I used to buy new kites every year but haven't bought new for the last 2 years, I do ride the new kites that come on the market but rarely they noticeably better than what I have. Light wind kites are an exception as the last couple of years ha...

Re: New to surfboard
I ride with one very loose front strap and no back strap. You don't actually miss the back strap at all unless jumping, and just tucking your toes under the front is enough to stop you foot bouncing out in the rough stuff. In clean conditions you don't need any straps at all, but We almost never see ...
