Re: 4 or 5 line question - Rhino 04

Put it onto your 5th line bar... It will be better for all involved! Oh shit handles are the rings at the end of floats on the rear lines. Grab on of these and release everything as a last resort... http://i.ikitesurf.com.s3.amazonaws.com/forums/2010_key_bar_diagram_129.jpg

Re: A plea to inexperienced Camber riders!

Got to say I really don't have an issue with people learning board starts and having the kite at 12 it's the other situations that are annoying... Walking out.. drop your kite Talking to you mate.. drop your kite Just standing there staring at it.. drop your kite Just crashed and grabbing your board...

Re: A plea to inexperienced Camber riders!

The issue is more than the shallows bit, the understanding/lack of it of upwind kite high, downwind kite low is bigger. How and why aren't they taught this? There are dozens of lessons going on each weekend and loads in the week, coupled with all the people teaching their mates means it will get wo...

Re: A plea to inexperienced Camber riders!

Paulie - thats the joke though - Camber is not short on space at all. It is just everyone insists on kiting on top of each other. beginners dont have a "right" to be in the shallows, but due to their ability that is where they will be. It is like complaining people are driving slow in the...

Re: A plea to inexperienced Camber riders!

I think this discussion appears every year about August time. The experienced moaning about learners at kites parked at lunch and learners moaning about being buzzed... The truth is that if everyone lowered their kite when not riding it would really help. Is this taught with lessons? Not only is it ...

Yeah, Poole harbor will probably put you off the sport!

Plenty of good schools in uncrowded spots..

Try these guys if your going towards wales.. http://www.blastkiteboarding.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewCat&catId=1

S Wales has some of the most uncrowded beaches in the country!

Re: Kitesurfing Holiday - Greece? Beginner!

Not sure I would recommend Gokova for learning, whats the point in having perfect conditions if there are over 100 kites on the water and you have no more than 10ft downwind. When I was there a couple of years ago the beginners at the centre were pretty pee'd off being unable to practice with the la...

Re: North 5th Element leash attachment?

Really no need to these days. Most kites offer so much de-power on the bar that it is hardly worth it plus you lose the spinning leash.

Re: North 5th Element leash attachment?

If the bar is 2010 or later you will have the cock ring.. Use that as in the video below..

Earlier bars you have to just clip to the chicken loop direct...

Re: Drying kites in a flat?!

Yeah.. Life is way to short to be drying kites in flats... I tried when i had a flat and first took up kite-surfing, got sand everywhere and blocked up the pipes in the bath... I wasn't popular with my flat mate!! As said by numerous others, let them dry on the beach or if wet leave for a sunny day ...
