Re: First tricks... What should i be doing?

Hiya Andy I'm not far past that stage myself. I'm still getting used to doing the big sent flaoty jumps, but also spent a lot of time learning: (**all those who know the lingo, please excuse my nubish mis-terming of stuff, i have no idea what its called**) Riding switch - this is great as it opens u...

Re: What sorta weather do you guys go out in?

about 8 or 9 degrees or above is OK for me. Not fussed about rain. Water in the sea seems OK for me until about halfway through January, after that I wear a few extra layers of neoprene, balaclava, gloves etc.

oo - damn - late for a meeting, as usual! Doh - gotta split!

Board advice pls

I've currently got an unusual board that was given to me free by a guy that broke his leg & was beach bound. Its a 'Stonker' 137 x 37.5. I've never seen anyone else riding one & the construction looks very different to all the other boards I see on the beach... Its also about twice as thick and heav...

Re: Drysuits??

oo - cheers for the replies guys :-D Hmmm, yeah - i can see that those issues may pose quite a lot of problems - I do like the nice floatiness of my wetsuit, and the ease with which I can take a pee without having to land the kite & make a loo dash (having said that, all the tape on the seams of my ...

Anyone selling - Progression Intermediate DVD ?

I'm trying to find a copy of the Progression intermediate DVD. Don't suppose any of you have 'progressed' beyond this & want to sell your copy?

Cheers

Drysuits??

I met a guy wearing a dry suit last week at Rhossy & he was raving about it, saying he'll never go back to a wetsuit again... Warmer, more flexibility, better temp control etc etc... It was a membrane type, made by gul. Seems like a good idea to me, but if its so good, why isn't everyone wearing the...

Somewhere flat, or with small waves, or both.... Around Jan/ Feb time... I'll prob be on my own (...

Advice for SW in north west

Hi I'm new to the site - and quite new to kitesurfing too - but boy, I got the bug big time!! How frighteningly addictive! My windsurfing may be taking a back seat for a while!! (never ever thought i'd say that!). I'm really keen to get out riding tomorrow - I live near Manchester & am wondering whe...
