Hello fellow kitesurfers in Emerald land!

I booked a ferry to Ireland in Christmas for a surf / kite trip, at the moment thinking around south Donegal and Sligo to respectfully visit the popular beaches:

Rossnowlagh
Bundoran
Strandhill
and maybe down to Aughris and Easkey if time allows.
I will definitely stop by (not to surf, of course) Mullaghmore to see where the monster sleeps.

Looking at Google Map, they all look quite big beaches so can I expect that kitesurfing is allowed on those beaches?
I'm also expecting the winter swell to mostly come from SW, what about the wind?
I have a feeling that the winter wind will be blowing mercilessly so the condition may be too much for my liking, but I will definitely be surfing.

I would like to humbly and merrily ask for friendly tips on where to stay, visit, and "must visit if you are there!" beaches.

Thank you in advance, and I look forward to hearing your advices!

Thanks missmaura!

Rosses Point and Lissadell are perfect. Just down the road from Strandhill, very ideal!

First time I hear Murvagh, Magheraroarty and Falcarragh; might be too far out my way for this trip though. Belmullet and Achill were also recommended by a surfer friend. Again might be stretching my radius. But this warrants another trip in the future, eh?!

I can't wait, I can't wait, la la la~~~

Thanks again missmaura!

Just had the time to visit their website. I think that'll be plenty of option for a week. Now where to stay... Bundoran would have the most option for cheap accomodation like surf lodge or hostel, I presume?

Donegal Town for Murvagh and Rossknowlagh and I would stay in Rosses Point for Lissadell , Streedagh etc.
Donegal town has a an international hostel for budget accommodation. Really friendly and good value ...walking distances to pub.Rosses point pick a Band B or contact Eamonn at LSD and ask for his recommendation

How come?

I'm hoping to get both kiting and paddle surfing so that's why I mentioned Bundoran and the surrounding initially. Is kiting not welcomed in Bundoran and nearby surf spots with wide beaches?
