Hi,

I've been riding my Airush Xpact (138x42) for 5-6 years now and it has served me very well.

However, I'm now looking for something that will absorb more of the chop impacts as my body's starting to complain.

I have a Shinn King George 2nd which has a fantastically smooth ride but it's too unwieldy for typical use.

I'd be extremely grateful for any suggestions that don't include "stop kiteboarding".

Cheers.

Out of interest do you think it has stiffened up since you first got it?

No, not really.

I got the chance to ride a more regular sized Shinn (136x44) today and that was as comfortable as the so-called Magic Carpet I've got. To be fair, today's comparison showed me that my board isn't that bad really but I've definitely reached a stage whereby I want to start treating my body with as much respect as possible and the Shinn was instantly kinder through the chop.

I noticed an ad' for Nomad boards whilst on the forum this morning and they talk of "armchair" comfort and they have a twin tip with a rounded nose, so I might investigate that.
