I know its a "for sale" but but this is such a pice of history that its worth a special mention -

the mighty Naish V4 30 M!

A mate is selling it on ebay now

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THE-GRAND-DAD ... 3a93949c41

It is Hil feckin arious and as he says would be better suited to a yacht or super tanker - I hope it goes to a good home - and maybe someone at Naish HQ might want to take it home for a novelty piece.

I had a 2003 17m fuel and was a handful to re-launch. God knows how you get thing off the water if you ditch it!

I had a 25m V4, it pulled like a truck and if it crashed it was a swim in job. It was so slow through the air it was nearly impossible to crash.

The 17m is the only kit I've had to do a deep water pack down with, bloody nightmare it was!

Brilliant, it would actually be a good buy for a shop, in fact Naish should actually buy this back off you

Maybe we should start some sort of Kite Museum, which tracks the history of the sport for the beginning. Selection of early gear, equipment which was ground breaking, or just plain stupid!

I am sure we would all have something to donate!

i had a 20m co2 once...it crashed LE down ,downwind and ripped 2 struts out...

slow as a supertanker to turn and got over powered in 15 knots....... got a zephyr now ..makes light wind riding great fun and has a surprisingly big range

but that naish is a classic...worth buying just for a windbreak ! or to pump up in 20 knots and dare any grommet to try and ride it ..... :-D :-D
