Winter wetsuits / coming home

hi Guys,

I currently live in OZ and will be coming back to the UK next year to settle (Brighton and Hove area) so Shoreham, Lanceing and Hove will be my preferred riding spots.
It will be 7 years away but I assume it's the same old crews at those spots, although I did hear Lanceing got a hut ? and swim, kite zones.

I have the summer wetsuit covered but would like to know what the south coast boys are using during the winter and spring.

I used to have a Lucifer NPX but gave up on it not great in big US East coast swells, so was hoping to get winter wetsuit recommendations.

Hi Tim, Steve and myself still go to shoreham. yes lancing bksa has a beach hut now. most of the same people are still kitesurfing locally. 5mm winter suit should be fine unless it is really cold. Hope to see you down the beach sometime, Chris.

I am looking forward to getting back, between work and the distance from the coast I have only had 2 sessions this year in January.

Is lancing still pretty busy ? Are many people foiling in the light wind days ?

Can't comment for the 6/4 hooded version as I've not tried it but agree that the Flash bombs are phenomenal suits. I've got the 5/3 and also will be replacing it with the same when it eventually wears out. For me worn with a hood, boots and gloves it's warm enough all year. obviously not as warm as the 6/4 on the bitterest of days but probably has the advantage of being more comfortable in autumn & spring.

I use a 5/4/3 Manera in Scotland during the winter - works well for 2h sessions in next to 0C. A storm jacket helps if it's a longer day.
