In our latest instructional we show how to drift launch a kite. This method is for advanced riders and requires a spot without big waves or shorebreak.

Was watching a Kiter that must have launched off a yacht. Big fancy Yacht in the harbour and he was sticking close to it, closer as the wind dropped in the evening. He (looked like a bloke, while I used my Binos) would have used this technique? It was quite choppy though.
