The midlands.

No coast, and as yet no inland kite lakes, so we have to travel. :(

It's not all lost however, there's always the cable tow in Nottingham, or Milton Keynes for wakestyle practice.
besides, when Anglesey, Hunstanton, Ceethorpes, and West Kirby all take about the same amount of travelling it could be argued we've got the best local beaches of anyone!

Hopefully this area of the forums will allow us to arrange travel-sharing, coastal trips and maybe even some meet ups for when the coast is just too far.

The only rules in this area are :-

Be good to each other, and party on dudes.

Please bear in mind that unless you are already part of the gang no-one wants you at Cleethorpes.

Get-ready for an argument, this bloke is well placed to criticise and argue about such trivia as the buttons on your shirt. An IT prima-donna typically, he thinks he knows more about everything than anyone and that his opinion is the only opinion worth considering.

Enjoy Hunstanton Andy and welcome-back to the forum. :-)

Found out about Priorslee Lake in Telford, Shropshire (West Midlands) today. It looks absolutely amazing to kitesurf.
It'd be perfect for me as I live in Telford as well as a lot of you guys as i'm sure it'd be closer than travelling all the way to the coast.

The only problem is it's 'governed' by Telford Sailing Club that mainly deals with Sailing... surprise surprise and wakeboarding.

I've emailed someone there a few days ago about the possibility of kitesurfing there but I don't hold much hope at all.

Still if we could get enough people wanting to use the lake, we may be able to strike a deal with the club... hopefully :-D
