Mr Etherington said some of the inspiration for the design came when he was kite surfing off the coast of Cumbria in seas where waves rarely travelled in a predictable fashion.

personal answer; why, when my demo fleet comprises over 20+ boards and kites, I always end up the last in the queue when it comes to taking my pick ;-)

If you are thinking about something else when you are kiting you may as well be mowing the lawn, surely?
Time to find a new challenge if you are ;-)
