I usually ride in wetsuit boots and when I don't my liquid force luxury pads rub a hole above my big toe which was a bit of a pisser recently on holiday.

I've tried all sorts of changes stance, toe grip, tightness to stop the rub but nothing works.

What's the best pad and strap combo and why?

Been having a look at the airush AFT and shinn sneakers...any feedback on these please?

I really like the latest Shinn sneaker. With narrow feet I have struggled over the years and had everything from AFT (great but super locked), LF, Crazyfly, Mystic... lots. I'm usually fine in the summer with bare feet, but then in the winter with boots they'd either be so tight as impossible to get on or loose the board would go one way and I'd go the other with no happy medium.

The new Sneakers I have no problem with and the toebar, heel cup and memory foam really do work... to such an extent I don't really think about it and that is a good thing as I suppose they simply work. I know Mark took a long time developing them check out his coffee chat

Thanks John.

Do you use them bare feet and boots with no problem? How big are ya feet? I'm a 10.5.

Yep bare foot and with some 6mm Atan boots - I'm a size 8 narrow fit in a shoe and no problems with them.

I had to buy new pads when I had an F-One Trax. My feet are UK12 and there wasn't enough strap even barefoot & heels dangled slightly over the ends! So I bought some Cabrinha H2 from 24/7 watersports. They had so much extra adjustment and I was able to use them with boots too in the winter.
Previously I'd had Shinn sneakers 2013 version and these were fine too. The support from the H2s is greater, they cover quite a large part of the foot which is gripped really well, so you can have them a bit looser if you want.
Currently I'm riding a Nomad board with their straps. I keep meaning to try the H2s on it as I think I got better grip with them. Problem is that the colours would clash!!!

I've got NTT set up on mine at the moment. Probably the most locked in feeling pads I've had so far, but check if they fit your board before considering them. I also found the Shinn sneakers the most comfortable pads I've ever had, but not quite grippy enough on my wide, flat feet for whatever reason.

North NTT by far the best I have tried. Not just the comfort but the incredible adjustability. 3 different width settings. On the outside you can also set the position forward or backward, and on the instep side you can change how wide the 2 straps go, as well as individually adjusting how tight they are depending on your preference. The base pad is really comfortable and it has a really good toe grip for when you need a bit of extra bite. Streets ahead of other offerings in my opinion, and I have tried many!
Although as per previous post, check if they will fit! I solved this issue by buying a North board as well, which is also pretty awesome...

I love blankforce standard bindings they are super good with or without boots, the HD ones are slightly more and they work awesome too!!!
